Darnell Shields is a lifelong Austin resident and a passionate builder of relationships. As the Executive Director of Austin Coming Together, Darnell has been able to galvanize hundreds of organizations and community leaders to take on Austin’s challenges with passion and commitment. His work is focused on quality early learning, neighborhood safety, living wage careers and affordable housing. He holds two Associate degrees from Wilbur Wright-City Colleges of Chicago and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
